Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics is focussed on research and graduate and undergraduate education. The Department offers BS-MS program, an integrated PhD program, and a PhD program. The faculty members are engaged in research in diverse areas of mathematics like Algebraic Geometry, Differential Geometry, Harmonic Analysis, Number Theory, Representation Theory, and Topology.
The Department has initiated Ph.D. program in Mathematics, since August 2017, and Integrated PhD program, since August 2018, besides offering Postdoctoral positions.
The faculty has contributed in national level training programs in Mathematics, and are actively involved in organizing national and international conferences, and summer schools. The Department organises  weekly research seminars, and has an active visitor‘s program to accommodate research visits of eminent Mathematicians.
